1. Acceptance of Terms and Enrollment Scope
By enrolling a child at Maarifa School, accessing our parent/caregiver portal, submitting an online admissions application, or scheduling meeting appointments with school administration, parents and legal guardians agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our associated school policies.
2. Academic Program and CBC Curriculum
Maarifa School provides holistic early childhood and primary education aligned with the Kenya Competency Based Curriculum (CBC). We foster foundational numeracy, literacy, digital competencies, creative arts, physical health, and Christian-integrated character values. Regular attendance and active parent-teacher collaboration are vital components of each child’s educational journey.
3. Admissions, Verification & Documentation
Parents/caregivers submitting admissions applications must provide authentic, accurate, and up-to-date documentation, including the child's official birth certificate, immunization/health records, prior academic assessments (where applicable), and parent/guardian identification. Admission is granted subject to seat availability, age criteria, and formal school assessment.
4. School Fees, Invoicing and Payments
School fees are structured on a per-term basis and must be settled in full prior to the start of each academic term, or in accordance with an approved school payment arrangement. Official receipts are issued for all fee settlements. Optional co-curricular activities, transport services, and specialized school supplies may incur separate published charges.
5. Child Safeguarding, Health and Safety
The safety, physical wellbeing, and emotional flourishing of every child in our care is our highest priority. Maarifa School maintains strict child safeguarding standards, vetted staff recruitment, round-the-clock campus security, and controlled perimeter access. Parents must promptly inform the school of any medical conditions, dietary allergies, emergency contact updates, or authorized pickup changes.
6. Parent / Caregiver Portal & Digital Communications
Registered caregivers are provided access to the Caregiver Portal to view school notices, curriculum resources, photo/video media, and schedule virtual or on-campus meeting appointments. Account credentials must be kept secure. Unauthorized access, sharing of classroom media with unverified third parties, or abuse of school communication tools is strictly prohibited.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya, including the Basic Education Act and the Children Act. Any disputes shall be resolved primarily through amicable mutual consultation with school management.
